The Educative Mission of the Ursulines

The Ursulines pursue their mission as educators under different forms and offer different services to the population : catechesis in the parishes, individual help with homework, recuperation courses, psychological help to children or to adults in difficulty, teaching of French to immigrants, animation of retreats, pastoral guide for the youth, etc.

The Tradition Continues

Still today, the Ursulines Share the mission of teaching with the laity in Japan and in Peru.

In Quebec, taking into account the major changes which have happened since 1960, most of the schools held by the Ursulines have called for increased collaboration by the lay staff. A process called institutional reports seeks to pursue the educational mission of the Urselines. This “work” is then supported by secular corporations eager to engage in such a project.
